One might say Paul Kott has worked his magic through the years, both professionally and in his community.
An Anaheim High School and University of Southern California graduate, he not only has become a notable real estate broker in the area, but he has tirelessly been a part of many community organizations.
Among the community organization boards on which he has served are: Halcyon, the Anaheim Interfaith Shelter; Anaheim Museum, Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim; Anaheim Memorial Medical Center Foundation; Anaheim Historical Society; Anaheim Arts Council; Anaheim Beautiful; Anaheim Historic Preservation Foundation; Paint Your Heart Out Anaheim; Assistance League of Anaheim; Anaheim Sister Association and Zion Lutheran Church.
As a youth he became active with the Anaheim Family YMCA and has been a member of the Board of Directors for years and also served as board chairman for one year. He also has been active with his children in the YMCA Indian Guides, Boy Scouts of America, La Palma Little League of Anaheim and a number of school sports, including football, volleyball, soccer, basketball and softball.
Professionally, he has been involved with the Anaheim Board of Realtors, West Orange County Board of Realtors, Greater North Orange County Association of Realtors, Pacific West Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. This year, Paul Kott Realtors, Inc. is celebrating its 42nd year in business.
In addition, he has served on the Anaheim Redevelopment Commission, Anaheim Board of Realtors as president and vice president, and as a hearing officer on the Orange County Tax Assessment Appeals Board for 10 years.
He has been honored by three organizations: Anaheim Beautiful presented him with an award for a rehabilitated commercial building – the home of Build Your Heart Out Anaheim and “We Give Thanks”, an Anaheim Philanthropic Organization; by the Women’s Division of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce as “Man of the Year” in 1998, Cypress College as Anaheim “Citizen of the Year” in 1999, Anaheim Chamber of Commerce “Man of the Year” in 2002 and Anaheim Chamber of Commerce “Business Man of the Year” in 2011. Paul is Paul is being honored as the Anaheim YMCA Man of the Year in March 2024. Paul is also an active member of his church, Zion Lutheran, in Anaheim.
As a true magician, he has performed his brand of close-up magic in five countries. He is a lifetime member of Hollywood’s Magic Castle and enjoys sharing his talent professionally and for several charitable organizations.
Paul has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 43 years and is the proud father of daughter, Krystin, sons Joel and Kevin and grandfather to grandsons, Noah Benjamin, Liam Edward and granddaughters Harper Quinn, Isla Grace and Indy Rose.
